CSIR™ (Condensibles Steam In Situ Recovery) considers the co-injection of condensible hydrocarbons (such as naphtha sourced from the COC™ facility) with steam to enhance in-situ bitumen recovery rate and ultimate bitumen recovery of the SAGD process. The co-injection process also provides an innovative method to stabilize active olefins and diolefins to achieve pipeline compatible products.

CSIR™ increases the value of the harvested bitumen and also provides a significant reduction of 25% in kg CO2 per barrel of bitumen emissions compared to conventional SAGD.
